Lauren – A knight of the Empire and a high-level aide to the King in the Imperial Service. She is one of the few “desk knights” to use that as a cover: her position as aide to the King is primarily so that she can be a first bodyguard in his offices, a position she volunteered for to protect the more important aides.
A tall, slender, athletic woman with straight chestnut hair falling to curl around her shoulders. She wears a light chain shirt and either carries a short sword under a thin grey robe or wears it openly at her hip with a costume more suitable for strenuous activity. Theodosia – A knight of the Empire, Visiting Scholar, nominally an aide to the Queen in the Imperial Service, and founder of the Empire’s third order of monastic knights.
A thick-set, athletic woman of medium height. Her slightly curled rich blonde hair is cut short and set closely around her head, in a somewhat boyish cut. For much of her career she usually wore a breastplate and chain mail and carried a longsword, but she now eschews armor and wears a simple, usually undyed robe. Continue reading
Vera – A knight of the Empire, one of the Queen’s advisors in the Imperial Service, an aide to Windstorm of the Rivers Kingdom, and a retired brigadier general in the Imperial Army. The first to be promoted in the Fifth War of the Dragon.
