There are several technical challenges in implementing the computer version of my strategy game, Strategic Primer and in running a campaign.
- The sheer scale and detail of the world.
- Scientific and technical advancement adds several difficulties.
- Representing units’ strength, health, effectiveness, and other statistics.
- Managing large numbers of “characters.”
- Designing a good API for the program.
- Running a campaign, particularly as a “prototype,” imposes a massive research burden.
