All creation shines as in dark of night,
The subtle light of stars providing it
With scarcely light to see it, not to walk,
But round her moonbeams’ beacons brightly shine
In my mind’s eye, catching her hair and face
In the same shaft of light with the same sheen.
Light-hungry, I cannot remove my gaze.
